Start With Why by Simon Sinek
This book really helps to set the foundation of WHY you do what you do. By explaining to someone why you started your business, it helps to create buy-in for your vision. Selling products or services is only interesting if you can explain WHY you do it and can communicate it effectively.
Blue Ocean Strategy by W. Chan Kim
This book was written a while ago, but remains one of my favorite books about developing a great marketing strategy and setting your business apart from the competition.
Who Moved My Cheese by Spencer Johnson
Any time I am making a major change in my business, or attempting something new, and I need to convince others (or myself!) to take the journey into the unknown, I give them this book. It is really easy to stay in your comfort zone, but that will not allow you to reach your greatest potential or experience new adventures. This book is a great reminder of that.
Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide by Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn
Half The Sky is a book that I read many years ago that really opened up my eyes to the plight of women worldwide, and the local heroes who are making a difference for them. This is a MUST read, and it will change your life. If you have ever doubted your ability to make a difference in the world or needed a great "WHY", this book is for you.
Scaling Up by Verne Harnish
Be prepared... reading this book is like drinking from a firehose! It is a lot of great information that can feel overwhelming at first, so you may want to read it again, and again, and again.... it is worth the time and money investment if you are trying to grow your business or at least move out of the solo-preneur phase.
The 22 Immutable Laws of Marketing by Al Ries and Jack Trout
Great book on marketing, growth strategy and capturing market share. One of the best books I have read recently.

Never Split the Difference: Negotiating as if Your Life Depended on It by Chris Voss
Having great negotiation skills is a game-changer in business.... especially as a woman. You will typically be underestimated, which works to your benefit when you are able to negotiate an incredible deal or solid contract without seeming like a bull in a China shop. Everyone wins.
