An engaged and dynamic leader, Cara Kamenev is CEO of the young and wildly dignified
Thomas Ashbourne, a premium craft cocktail company that launched in the spring of 2022.
Recognized as a collaborative and inclusive partner Kamenev built a first rate team of celebrity
partners (founding partners include Sara Jessica Parker, Vanessa Hudgens, Rosario Dawson,
Ashley Benson and Playboi Carti) and beverage industry professionals that successfully help
Thomas Ashbourne stand apart from others in the ready-to-sip category. As a first time CEO,
Kamenev is proud to count herself among the 4% of women who make up C-Suite positions in
the beverage industry and is dedicated to help grow that number.
A proven brand builder Kamenev has more than 15 years of experience running marketing,
business development and investor relations at Fortune 10 companies in the beauty and CPG
industries. Formerly the Vice President of Brand Engagement for L’Oreal Paris, Kamenev
guided marketing for the brand in the US focusing on brand equity marketing, social media, paid
media, digital and philanthropy, specifically the growth and expansion of the Women of Worth
program. She managed celebrity and brand ambassadors for L’Oreal Paris’s domestic and
global initiatives and was responsible for the strategic development of global platforms including
Cannes and Paris Fashion Week. Kamenev has also served as the AVP of Communications
and Content on the L’Oreal Paris Corporate Communications team.
Kamenev has worked in the Business Development and Communications department at PVH
Corp and in the investor relations division at Bloomberg LP where she oversaw the firm’s top
strategic accounts as team leader of Bloomberg’s Fixed Income Analytics team.
She holds a degree in business from Emory University, The Goizueta School of Business and
has been recognized as 2021’s Emerging Talent and Leadership Honoree by the beauty trade
authority, Cosmetic Executive Women (CEW). She lives outside of New York City with her
partner and two daughters.
